The Florida International University Board of Trustees is composed of 13 members: five appointed by the state Board of Governors; six appointed by Governor Charlie Crist; and student and faculty representation by the University’s Faculty Senate chair and student government president. The Board is responsible for cost-effective policy, implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the University’s mission, performance evaluation, and developing a process meeting state policy, budgeting, and education standards.
